British Prime Minister David Cameron says his country “remains staunch” in its “defense of Israel”.
Cameron made the pledge while meeting with visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at 10 Downing Street in London.
Netanyahu is on a two-day visit in London to discuss hosts of issues including Syria and the July nuclear conclusion between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany, also known as the P5+1 group.
Netanyahu’s trip has angered many Britons with a number of them gathered outside Downing Street on Wednesday to demand Netanyahu’s arrest for war crimes in the Gaza Strip. Several people were arrested after scuffles broke out between the protesters and police.
