Les ministres doivent ferrailler des plans controversés visés empêchant l'obtention de public préjudiciable ou les informations embarrassantes sur le gouvernement et d'autres organismes publics, un commission parlementaire indiquent.
Les membres du Comité choisi d'affaires constitutionnelles invitent le gouvernement pour abandonner son « inutile, inpopulaire et » les réformes indésirables de la liberté d'information agissent.
Sous les changements proposés, des 17.000 demandes environ de l'information ont pu être refusées, £5.7m économisant. Il signifiera que MPs, groupes de campagne et journalistes devront rationner des demandes, ou risquent leurs enquêtes étant automatiquement rejetées.

But critics say it is a cynical ploy to neuter the role of the media and opposition MPs in using FOI legislation to uncover uncomfortable material about the Government.
The committee concludes: “There is no objective evidence that any change is necessary. There is clear evidence that the proposed amendments could be open to manipulation and abuse.”
