Police are on the hunt for an active shooter at a Washington DC Navy Yard.
The man is carrying a large shotgun and there are multiple victims, according to reports.
The shooting began at 8:20am EST, according to the U.S. Navy’s official Twitter account.
“An active shooter was reported inside the Naval Sea Systems Command Headquarters building (Bldg. 197) on the Washington Navy Yard at 8:20 a.m. (Eastern Time),” states a press release.
CBS News is reporting that at least one person has been shot, while police and FBI say they have received reports of multiple injuries.
