Two special agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have been killed in a training accident in the US state of Virginia.
FBIâ„¢s national press office issued a statement on Sunday, saying the two agents, who were members of Hostage Rescue Team, died in the accident which took place off the coast of Virginia Beach on Friday.
The two agents were identified as 41-year-old Christopher Lorek, and 40-year-old Stephen Shaw.
No further details of the accident were available immediately, but an FBI spokesman in Norfolk, Virginia said the deaths did not involve gunfire.
Other reports said the incident may have involved a helicopter.
