Comparing Dictatorships in Transition.\u201d Sharing the award with Baberowski is his partner in this project, Professor Deborah Kaple of Princeton\u2019s Department of Sociology.<\/p>\n<div class=\"imageLeft\" style=\"width:200px; oveflow:hidden;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wsws.org\/asset\/129896c8-1996-4229-851a-3b65fa1fa34C\/image.jpg?rendition=image480\" srcset=\"\/asset\/129896c8-1996-4229-851a-3b65fa1fa34C\/image.jpg?rendition=image960 2x\" width=\"200\" style=\"width:200px;\" \/><span>J\u00f6rg Baberowski and his colleague, Fabian Thunemann, on a visit to Trump Tower during a break in the conference-seminar held at Princeton in March.<\/span><\/div>\n<p>No information on the subject of the conference-seminar has been posted on the web site of Princeton University. However, the Facebook page of Humboldt\u2019s Department of East European Studies posted photos taken during the conference. It also posted photos of Baberowski and his Humboldt University colleague, Fabian Thunemann, standing in front of Trump Tower in New York City.<\/p>\n<p>Baberowski is a vociferous defender of the pro-Nazi apologetics of Germany\u2019s most notorious revisionist historian, the late Ernst Nolte. Nevertheless, he enjoys significant support within the highest levels of the American academic community. It is not surprising that Baberowski has been supported by the Hoover Institution, the ideological center of anti-Marxist projects located at Stanford University.
