{"id":397605,"date":"2019-02-28T18:42:08","date_gmt":"2019-02-28T17:42:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/newswire\/wake-up-america-lewrockwell\/"},"modified":"2019-02-28T18:42:08","modified_gmt":"2019-02-28T17:42:08","slug":"wake-up-america-lewrockwell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/newswire\/wake-up-america-lewrockwell\/","title":{"rendered":"Wake Up, America &#8211; LewRockwell"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t                            \t<!-- S3 Cache --><!-- S3:S3:Non-Original -->\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Now that the Dirty Dems are openly pushing socialism, it\u2019s a good time to address the most misused word in the dictionary:\u00a0\u00a0<em>right.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>It\u2019s a word that\u2019s pretty much synonymous with\u00a0<em>entitlement.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>The subtle difference between the two is that\u00a0<em>right\u00a0<\/em>has a much stronger moral connotation to it than\u00a0<em>entitlement<\/em>.\u00a0 It\u2019s very official sounding, as though it were handed down from on high, while an entitlement suggests victimization, which connotes weakness.<\/p>\n<p>That said, to those millions of Americans who are seriously thinking about boarding the Socialist Express:\u00a0 Other than life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, there is no such thing as an absolute right or absolute entitlement.\u00a0 True rights are those given to us by our Creator.\u00a0 All other rights are created in the minds of collectivist dreamers and scoundrel politicians.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, the Founders did not create the idea that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are fundamental human rights.\u00a0 They simply reaffirmed what is axiomatic to anyone who believes in the sanctity of natural law.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, many people actually believe in the idea of artificially created rights, and even though such \u201crights\u201d also have been around since the founding, until relatively recently they did not pose much of a problem.
