Having been permanently suspended from Twitter last Fall, Murphy\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/meghanmurphylawsuit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Complaint_endorsed.pdf\">lawsuit<\/a> challenges Jack Dorsey\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.americanrhetoric.com\/speeches\/jackdorseycongressopeningstatement.htm\">contention<\/a> made last September to the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Twitter Transparency and Accountability wherein he stated, \u201cWe don\u2019t consider political viewpoints, perspectives, or party affiliation in any of our policies or enforcement decisions, period.\u201d Taking aim at Twitter\u2019s contradictory and unevenly-applied policy, Murphy\u2019s lawsuit is legally challenging Twitter by accusing \u00a0this big tech company of censoring content made by users based on conflicting political perspectives (eg. conflicting with those of Dorsey or others at Twitter). Meghan confirms that Dorsey has acted against his own company\u2019s mandate which was \u201cto give everyone the power to create and share ideas and information instantly without barriers. Our business and revenue will always follow that mission in ways that improve and do not detract from a free and global conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sqRyAoSzGrI&amp;feature=share\">video explanation<\/a>, Murphy details the reasons for her lawsuit, outlining the many contradictions within Twitter\u2019s exercise of its policies and its censorship of its users, most notably feminists and anyone who is gender critical.
