RT looks at a few permutations that could follow.<\/p>\n<div>\n<h2>Theresa May resigns<\/h2>\n<p>In normal times, a sitting UK prime minister who sees her landmark piece of legislation voted down by parliament, even by the slimmest of margins, would feel the need to resign as it was a matter of honor \u2013 but these are not normal times.<\/p>\n<h2>Labour tables confidence vote in May\u2019s govt \u2013 leads to snap general election<\/h2>\n<p>Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/uk\/448890-labour-confidence-vote-government\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tabled<\/a> a vote of no confidence in the Tory government after Theresa May\u2019s deal was voted down. The question is, are there enough Conservative and DUP MPs willing to risk Labour being elected to power in a general election which would follow?<\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"media__youtube-frame lazyload\" width=\"100%\" height=\"300px\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/n73M-J2_4U8\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>May comes up with \u2018plan B\u2019 \u2013 no-deal Brexit<\/h2>\n<p>An amendment to the EU withdrawal bill secured by Labour backbencher Yvette Cooper, will force the PM to declare her \u2018plan B\u2019 within three days.<\/p>\n<p>In such a scenario the PM may push the \u2018nuclear option\u2019 button and attach a vote of confidence in the government to any motion trying to rule out a no-deal Brexit. The hope being, Tory remainers bottle voting to take down the government, but at the expense of opening the door to a no-deal.<\/p>\n<h2>May allows parliament to vote on new Brexit plan<\/h2>\n<p>Tory backbencher Nick Boles has laid out plans that would compel May\u2019s government to come up with a plan B within three weeks. Her detractors could see such a move as running down the clock to a no-deal Brexit.<\/p>\n<h2>MPs stop Brexit by revoking Article 50<\/h2>\n<p>Favoured by hardcore remainers, but could this move ever secure the majority of the House of Commons? It may, however, prove tempting for MPs wanting to avoid the messiness of a second referendum.<\/p>\n<h2>Labour tables second referendum motion<\/h2>\n<p>Jeremy Corbyn\u2019s Labour party policy on Brexit states that if they fail to secure a general election, then all other options are on the table, including a second referendum.
