When President Trump\u2019s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh testified last week before the Senate Judiciary Committee, he called Dr. Christine Blasey Ford\u2019s accusations against him and the subsequent fallout a \u201ccircus\u201d orchestrated by the Democrats. His language echoed Clarence Thomas, who nearly 30 years ago said of the Anita Hill trials, \u201cThis is a circus. It\u2019s a national disgrace. \u2026 It is a high-tech lynching for uppity blacks who in any way deign to think for themselves.\u201d We speak with Kimberl\u00e9 Crenshaw, professor of law at <\/span>UCLA<\/span> <\/span>and Columbia University who assisted Anita Hill\u2019s legal team. She is the founder of the African American Policy Forum.
