When management tried to restart production, workers rebelled and instead walked out of the plant.<\/p>\n<p>Flat Rock Assembly workers told the <em>World Socialist Web Site Autoworker Newsletter<\/em> that management and the UAW have told them nothing since the accident, not even the name or the condition of the worker involved. Ford did not respond to inquiries from the <em>Autoworker Newsletter<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>An <em>Autoworker Newsletter<\/em> reporting team visited Flat Rock Assembly Monday afternoon. Workers described a brutal management regime in the plant, enforced with the assistance of UAW officials, who act as junior foremen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe union never tells us anything,\u201d was a common refrain.<\/p>\n<p>Several workers told reporters that they had already read the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsws.org\/en\/articles\/2018\/05\/07\/flat-m07.html\">report<\/a> of the accident posted on the <em>Autoworker Newsletter<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/autoworker.newsletter\/\">Facebook<\/a> page. \u201cThey are not talking about it,\u201d one veteran worker said. \u201cOn night shift they say keep it running at all cost. You see something wrong\u2026\u2018keep it running.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Referring to the injured worker, he reported, \u201cI heard that on her situation the guy that was with her didn\u2019t know to pull the red cord to stop the line. Another worker knew to stop it, otherwise it would have been much worse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cThey stress out the TPTs [Temporary Part Time workers].
