She also\u00a0criticised the mainstream media&#8217;s decades-long wall of silence, saying that it is\u00a0responsible for\u00a0creating the climate that allowed Savile to exist.<\/p>\n<p>She also disturbingly\u00a0revealed that &#8220;the more they suffered, the less they were believed,&#8221; and criticised\u00a0the police for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rinf.com\/alt-news\/latest-news\/thugs-in-uniform-a-cesspool-of-police-misconduct-and-corruption\/21182\/\" target=\"_blank\">failing to protect victims<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00a0&#8220;Over 20 years ago I had two accounts of Jimmy Savile being an abuser,&#8221; but when she approached the police about the accusations, they found it &#8220;impossible to consider&#8221;.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Speaking about her experience on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bcfmradio.com\/2013\/05\/03\/17\/friday-drivetime-120\/29198\" target=\"_blank\">BCFM<\/a>,\u00a0Valerie Sinason the director of the London based\u00a0<a title=\"The Clinic for Dissociative Studies was set up with the aid of the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust in 1998. It is one of the few national centres of specialist expertise in the care and treatment of people with dissociative disorders. As an Independent Provider to the NHS it is commissioned by Clinical Commissioning Groups, former PCTs, mental health trusts and local authorities nationally to provide diagnosis, outpatient treatment, clinical supervision and training. The Clinic is currently supporting research work undertaken by University College London and the University of Essex. Members of the Clinic Faculty will in 2012 be lecturing in the USA, Canada, South Africa, Germany, France, Portugal and all over the UK. The Clinic does not treat patients privately but only via NHS referral (see 'What we do' for more information). Dissociative disorders, in particular dissociative identity disorder (DID), arise in response to extreme trauma and abuse (see 'About DID' for more information). Treatment options can vary depending on a range of factors, including the severity of the trauma experienced and whether abuse is still continuing. The Clinic for Dissociative Studies specialises in providing psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families on an intensive or non-intensive basis. Treatment is provided by experienced senior psychotherapists with specialist experience in working with dissociative disorders (see 'About us'), and can be supported by a range of other therapies if required.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clinicds.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Centre for Dissociative Studies<\/a>, said that she has interviewed more than 500 victims of ritualistic abuse over the last 25 years.<\/p>\n<p>Dr\u00a0Sinason made <a href=\"http:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/uk\/370439\/Jimmy-Savile-was-part-of-satanic-ring\" target=\"_blank\">headlines earlier this year<\/a> when she revealed that Savile had sexually abused two girls as part of a Satanic ritual.<\/p>\n<p>When asked for more details about the kind of abuse that Savile inflicted,\u00a0Dr\u00a0Sinason said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Savile was not only abusing all children with or without disabilities, in group settings, in individual settings, in hospital settings, he was also invoking belief systems, doing rituals, making children believe that he had extra powers, and if they didn&#8217;t\u00a0obey\u00a0him they&#8217;d be punished in an afterlife&#8221;.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Dr\u00a0Sinason is eager to point out that ritual abuse is not exclusive to Satanism and is seen in other religions.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I can make clear that there are Satanists who would never harm anybody. It&#8217;s a legal belief system.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>When asked if the abuse was part of a genuine religious ritual or merely theatrics to scare the children, \u00a0she\u00a0answered:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>When I talk about Satanists abuse I am in no way saying all Satanists are abusers anymore than when we speak about abuse by Catholic priests. But when Satanists are abusers, there are extra things for example Aleister Crowley that can be used to frighten children more.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But the use of cloaks, making spells, of making threats, threatening what will happen after death too, is something that they five different people that have spoken to me about Jimmy Savile all said he&#8217;d been part of&#8221;.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Dr\u00a0Sinason and the victims of ritualistic abuse have been ridiculed by the media in particular <a href=\"http:\/\/www.private-eye.co.uk\/sections.php?section_link=in_the_back&amp;article=99\" target=\"_blank\">Private Eye<\/a>, stating it doesn&#8217;t exists.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I find it so\u00a0disappointing, it was quiet a shock not just to me but to all the other people that work with ritual abuse\u00a0survivors to have an intelligent, satirical paper take the strange view that no such thing could exist in the wake of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-wales-12690580\" target=\"_blank\">Kidwelly<\/a> case which was a very successful\u00a0prosecution in 2011 were four adults were convicted for the ritual abuse of\u00a0vulnerable\u00a0children, and were we&#8217;ve got lists of cases that have been successfully prosecuted, to say that nothing exists is creating the kind of climate that allows a Jimmy Savile to exist.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Speaking to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rinf.com\">RINF Alternative News<\/a>, show host Tony Gosling said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Savile told his victims that neither police nor press would believe them if they spoke out.\u00a0Its now clear that his friends in West Yorkshire police\u00a0actively\u00a0covered up his crimes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Also Operation Yewtree officers should begin investigating Private Eye and other publications that continue to deny the very\u00a0ritual\u00a0abuse that Savile perpetrated, as suspected accessories to organised child abuse and rape.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bcfmradio.com\/2013\/05\/03\/17\/friday-drivetime-120\/29198\" target=\"_blank\">Listen to the interview in full here (second hour)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Director of the London based\u00a0<a title=\"The Clinic for Dissociative Studies was set up with the aid of the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust in 1998. After the Daily Express headline\u00a0<a title=\"The perverted star wore a hooded robe and mask as he abused the terrifi ed victim in a candle-lit basement. He also chanted \u201cHail Satan\u201d in Latin as other paedophile devil worshippers joined in and assaulted the girl at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Buckinghamshire. The attack, which happened in 1975, shines a sinister new light on the former DJ\u2019s 54-year reign of terror. Savile, who died aged 84 in October 2011, is now Britain\u2019s worst sex offender after police revealed he preyed on at least 450 victims aged eight to 47. The girl kept her torment hidden for nearly 20 years before finally opening up to therapist Valerie Sinason.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/uk\/370439\/Jimmy-Savile-was-part-of-satanic-ring\" target=\"_blank\">Jimmy Savile Was Part Of Satanic Ring<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0in January 2013\u00a0<a title=\"Ritual Abuse and Mind Control. Valerie Sinason, an adult psychoanalyst and child psychotherapist, and director of the Clinic for Dissociative Studies in Harley Street, London, who claims to have worked with 300 ritual abuse survivors, was billed to speak on working with learning disability, ritual abuse, DID and mind control. Sinason was back on her feet in June, along with other associates from her clinic, offering a four-day continuing professional development course in London (maximum 15 participants, cost up to \u00a3620 per person) on \u201cWorking with Dissociation in Clinical Practice using an Attachment Perspective\u201d. Sinason\u2019s speciality was ritual abuse. But the big event of the year will be a conference on Ritual Abuse and Mind Control, in London on 25 and 26 September, co-organised by Sinason\u2019s Clinic for Dissociative Studies (more than 100 delegates expected; cost up to \u00a3250 each).\" href=\"http:\/\/www.private-eye.co.uk\/sections.php?section_link=in_the_back&amp;article=99\" target=\"_blank\">Private Eye magazine published another anonymous hatchet job on her<\/a>\u00a0entitled \u2018SATANIC PANIC \u2014 Familiar Ritual \u2018 in the Feb\/Mar 2013 edition implying Valerie and victims she has spoken to were \u2018making it up, or \u2018mad\u2019. Valerie explains the horrible reality behind these types of abuse and explains that many people, including presumably Private Eye editor Ian Hislop, find it difficult to believe people could behave like this.
