Pretty sure this is the first time I\u2019ve seen anyone be openly and publicly fired for the explicit reason that he is a White male.<\/p>\n

This is, of course, the new standard.<\/p>\n

And get this: the guy is 5\u20194\u2033 \u2013 meaning he is himself a part of an IRL discriminated minority. That is like, really, really short. I\u2019m 5\u20197\u2033, and am often the shortest guy in the room. 5\u20194\u2033 is bordering on midget-size.<\/p>\n

In fact, I\u2019m not so sure it wasn\u2019t heightism that got him fired.<\/p>\n

No, j\/k. He was definitely fired because he\u2019s White.<\/p>\n

Bafta award-winning comedian Jon Holmes was axed from The Now Show \u2013 the hit Radio 4 programme he has appeared on for 18 years<\/strong> \u2013 when bosses told him \u2018we\u2019re recasting it with more women and diversity\u2019.<\/p>\n

Last night, leading figures from the world of entertainment and across the political spectrum reacted with fury to the BBC instigating a policy in which it was now choosing performers based on their gender or skin colour, instead of their talent.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

You can\u2019t choose people on talent and have diversity, or all you\u2019re going to have is a bunch of White males.<\/p>\n
