On July 1st, CNN\u00a0reported<\/span><\/a>\u00a0that “President Barack Obama’s top aides,\u00a0including David Axelrod,\u00a0communicated with\u00a0Hillary Clinton\u00a0at her private email address\u00a0while she was secretary of state,\u201d and that, “Obama officials \u2013 including Axelrod \u2013 had said they were\u00a0unaware Clinton was using a personal email address.\u201d CNN provided no linked source for their allegation that Axelrod didn\u2019t know (nor juxtaposed his statement which contradicted it); however, what CNN said there was indeed accurate, so far as it went, as one can tell simply by clicking onto this link:<\/span><\/p>\n

That video, dated June 17th, shows Axelrod\u2019s response after Obama\u2019s former Chief of Staff Bill Daley had said that he had \u201chad no idea\u201d that Secretary of State Clinton was using a private email for her State Department business. Axelrod said (1:07): \u201cI confess, \u2026 I was the senior advisor; I didn\u2019t know.\u201d He was then asked \u201cIf you did find out when you were there, \u2026?\u201d and he promptly replied, \u201cI might have asked a few questions about this.\u201d \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So: He had outright lied when he said \u201cI didn\u2019t know.” He did know. CNN refused to point this lying out. Not only that, but though CNN\u2019s report did mention this video (which was from MSNBC), they provided no link to it (such as I just did), and therefore they offered no way that CNN\u2019s audience could come to know that Axelrod had, in fact, lied about this matter.<\/span><\/p>\n

The present report, “CNN: Obama White House Lied \u2018We Didn\u2019t Know About Hillary\u2019s Private Email\u2019,\u201d is thus not about what CNN said<\/i> to its audience; it is instead about the reality that CNN was actually\u00a0hiding<\/i> from its audience, except for from those who (like the present reporter) would devote the effort and time to dig further in order to find out what the real story was, behind the mush that CNN reported to its audience.<\/span><\/p>\n

The major news story here turned out to be “CNN: Obama White House Lied \u2018We Didn\u2019t Know About Hillary\u2019s Private Email\u2019,\u201d and was not really<\/i> CNN\u2019s headlined \u2018news\u2019 report, which was:\u00a0“Clinton emails: Obama aides\u00a0knew of private address.\u201d<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This fact, of CNN\u2019s hiding the Obama Administration\u2019s lies on this matter, indicates that CNN is covering for the White House, more than actually covering the White House. CNN is actually a propaganda agency, not a news agency. It hides the incriminating evidence, instead of exposing it (as I just did here). So, yet another headline for the present news report could be: \u201cCNN Protects the Obama White House.\u201d That\u2019s another important truth from this same information. And it, too, is an important thing for CNN\u2019s audience to know about CNN.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, perhaps the best headline for this article would be: \u201cCNN Hides Obama Administration Lie.\u201d But regardless, you now know the most important things which CNN reported, and you also know what CNN was covering up there \u2013 and what its cover-up says about CNN.<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to be fully informative, I should also state that I had voted for Obama as the lesser of two evils, both times when he was running; I am definitely not<\/i> a Republican, and I make a clear distinction between Republican attacks against Obama from his right (which are lies and distortions about him), versus progressive attacks against Obama from his left (which are true statements about his real conservatism \u2013 such as about his remarkable mendacity, basic to all conservatives and to conservatism itself). <\/span><\/p>\n

Around 60% of Americans are to Obama\u2019s left, but around 70% of oligarchs are to his right. Any \u2018democracy\u2019 that offers as its realistic electoral \u2018choices\u2019 only candidates like that, who are agents for the aristocracy, constitutes itself an oligarchy, no authentic democracy at all, because all of the realistic choices are oligarchic; none is authentically democratic. <\/span><\/p>\n

The U.S. is therefore no longer a democracy, and it has the press (such as CNN) that one expects in such a place. The press, in any dictatorship, \u2018report\u2019 that the government represents the public. The U.S. is just another dictatorship, so it \u2018reports\u2019 that it\u2019s not. <\/span><\/p>\n

But that\u2019s not part of this news story; it is instead the story\u2019s context<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n
