NSA Using Twitter To Recruit With Coded Messages"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">By Susan Duclos<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">&nbsp;<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">The National Security Agency (NSA) posted a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NSACareers\/status\/463321993878994945\" rel=\"nofollow\" >cryptic tweet to Twitter<\/a> on May 5, 2014, which had other users wondering if they had been hacked or if someone was playing a joke, but it turns out the tweet, shown below, was put out by the NSA as a recruitment tool.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-_UD5mYPJJV8\/U2jRYuG-X_I\/AAAAAAAATPM\/6H54sYPP1JE\/s1600\/NSATWITTER.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-_UD5mYPJJV8\/U2jRYuG-X_I\/AAAAAAAATPM\/6H54sYPP1JE\/s1600\/NSATWITTER.jpg\" height=\"255\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">According to a spokeswoman for the NSA, this mysterious tweet was put out &#8220;As part of our recruitment efforts to attract the best and the brightest, we will post mission related coded Tweets on Mondays in the month of May.&#8221;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">&nbsp;<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">The code was cracked within minutes according to <a href=\"http:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/1255862\/crack-coded-tweets-for-a-job-at-the-nsa\" >SkyNews<\/a>, but the codes are expected to get harder.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">&nbsp;<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">For those curious, it is a letter substitution puzzle that once decoded, reads &#8220;Want to know what it takes to work at NSA?
