Aperture  Films produced three spots, which include over 40 Army survivors from  across the country that came to <span class=\"xn-location\" itemprop=\"contentLocation\" itemscope=\"\" itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/Place\"><span itemprop=\"geo\" itemscope=\"\" itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/address\"><span itemprop=\"addressLocality\">Southern California<\/span><\/span><\/span> to participate in the PSA film shoot.<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span>                                                              <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span>Although  established by an Act of Congress in 1967, the Gold Star Pins are still  widely unrecognized. The Gold Star Pin is composed of a gold star on a  purple background and is issued to immediate family members of service  members killed in combat. The Next of Kin pin is composed of a gold star  on a gold background and signifies a service-related death or suicide  during active duty other than combat.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span>                                                              <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span>The filming took place at multiple locations in <span class=\"xn-location\" itemprop=\"contentLocation\" itemscope=\"\" itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/Place\"><span itemprop=\"geo\" itemscope=\"\" itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/address\"><span itemprop=\"addressLocality\">Orange County<\/span><\/span><\/span>, as well as at the National Cemetery in <span class=\"xn-location\" itemprop=\"contentLocation\" itemscope=\"\" itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/Place\"><span itemprop=\"geo\" itemscope=\"\" itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/address\"><span itemprop=\"addressLocality\">Los Angeles<\/span><\/span><\/span>.
