I have also noted attacks against Christians taking place  regularly within the US.&nbsp; These attacks, and murders, are happening  today, not in some far distant past.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s another, from CBS:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"tr_bq\">\n<h1 class=\"title\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Religious Statues Vandalized At 2 Churches In&nbsp;Vineland<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span><em class=\"entry-date\">January 24, 2014&nbsp;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><em>VINELAND, NJ (CBS)<\/em> \u2013 Police in Vineland are searching for the suspects who vandalized statues outside two churches overnight.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><span>According to the Vineland Police Department, officers were dispatched  to the Sacred Heart Church at 922 E Landis Avenue for reported criminal  mischief. An investigation revealed that sometime during the night, the  suspects had vandalized several religious statues on church property.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><span>The vandals hacked off the head of a statue of the Virgin Mary. In  addition, the vandals also chopped a statue of Joseph in half.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><span>A few hours later, officers were dispatched to&nbsp;St. Francis of Assisi  Church at 23 W Chestnut Avenue for the same incident.
