US President Donald Trump’s anti-immigration measures are aimed at “making America white again,” says an analyst in California, referring to the president’s infamous campaign slogan: “Making America Great Again.”
Beau Grosscup, a professor emeritus of political science, told Press TV on Wednesday that the Republican president had no idea what he was doing by insisting on ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program for immigrant children.
The analyst noted that Trump was not behind such decisions in the White House.
“People ask whether or not President Trump has made this decision, and I would argue he has no knowledge of any of these decisions,” Grosscup argued. “He has basically given carte blanche to his Homeland Security Department as well as [Homeland Security Secretary] John Kelly,” he said.
