US President Donald Trump has given Russia a “green light” to get engaged in the processes of meddling in the country ahead of upcoming US elections, says a former CIA analyst.
Former National Security Council spokesman Ned Price accused Trump of having failed to deal with Russia in the wake of alleged intervention in the 2016 presidential election in an appearance on MSNBC on Tuesday.
“We have heard that President Trump has personally himself done absolutely nothing to help our national security establishment and infrastructure stop the next round of Russian meddling. That should be hugely troubling to all of us,” he said.
