US President Donald Trump says there is a “good possibility” that China and the United States would reach a deal on trade when the leaders of the two countries meet at an upcoming G20 summit in Argentina, according to a White House economic adviser.
Larry Kudlow said at a press briefing in Washington on Tuesday that Trump was open to reaching a deal on resolving US-China trade disputes with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, at their meeting in Buenos Aires later this week.
“It’s going to be a dinner meeting between President Trump and President Xi and representatives from both sides. It’ll be bilateral,” Kudlow said.
“I want to just mention what the President told us a short while ago, and that is in his view, there is a good possibility that a deal can be made, and that he is open to that – he is open to that,” he added.
