The family of Ian Tomlinson today dismissed police disciplinary proceedings against PC Simon Harwood as “a whitewash”.
Mr. Tomlinson’s Step-son, Paul King, also said: “We still haven’t got an answer after 3 and a half years.”
Although Simon Harwood, the police officer who attacked Mr. Tomlinson was sacked by Metropolitan Police, has not been convicted of a crime and will still be able to collect his full £15,000 a year police pension.
