Russia’s darts queen Anastasia Dobromyslova has successfully defended her crown at the BDO World Darts Championship and established herself as the dominant force in the sport.

The 28 year old edged the local favourite Lisa Ashton 2-1 in the final held at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley, England.

En route to the decider the Russian second seed knocked out another local ace, Tina Gulliver, nicknamed the Golden Girl.

It was a rematch of their clash 12 months ago and again beating Gulliver in the semis turned out to be a good sign for the Russian.

It is the third BDO title in the Russian’s trophy cabinet, as Dobromyslova already lifted the trophy back in 2008 and 2012.
