Eminent Iranian musician Arash Amini is slated to conduct Kazakhstan State Symphony Orchestra during a concert in the country’s northern region, Akmola.
Organized by ECO Cultural Institute (ECI), the concert is to be presented as part of Listen to Us III musical program which is to introduce the works of great composers in the ECO member states.
The concert titled The Dream of an Eastern Night will show the performance of Aram Khachaturian from Armenia, Fikret Amirov from Azerbaijan, Heshmat Sanjari and Loris Tjeknavorian from Iran, and several other ECO leading composers.
Arash Amini is the artist director of Iran’s Rudaki Symphony Orchestra as well as the director of Music Department in ECI.
Amini was hailed byTajikistan’s highest national honorary award in 2011 as he conducted the Opera Orchestra of Dushanbe in a commemoration ceremony for the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence.
He also performed a program along with a group of Iranian and Kazakh musicians in a cultural week on Persian poet and mathematician Omar Khayyam in the capital city of Kazakhstan, Astana.
The Dream of an Eastern Night is scheduled to be held on January 17, 2013.
