An American journalist says the problem surrounding gun ownership in the United States is that American people are addicted to the violence.
Mark Glenn told Press TV that the US media and Hollywood are responsible for the high rate of crimes in the country.
Å“The American media and particularly Hollywood and television have become the new church for America, they have become the new classroom for Americans, especially young people, and this is where their values are formed,” he said on Monday.
Å“If you look at American media and particularly what comes out of Hollywood, it is a deliberately concerted effort on the part of those who control Hollywood and American media to change the value system of the United States in order to create I think a nation of people who are very comfortable with the application of violence,” he added.
Glenn said that the culture of violence that the Zionist-controlled Hollywood creates is in the interest of Israel.
Å“Clearly this would be in Israelâ„¢s interest to do this to America and to the West in general; to reformat the moral landscape of these countries so that these countries would be willing to go to war in places such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Iran, etc,” he said.
Many critics blame the notoriously liberal gun control laws in the US for the high rate of gun murders in the country.
