This year was the hottest year ever!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Was that before or after NASA and the NOAA <a href=\"http:\/\/stevengoddard.wordpress.com\/2013\/01\/08\/the-big-lie-becomes-official-at-noaa\/\" >altered the temperature record<\/a> to make recent years warmer?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Myth #3. 97% of scientists agree on global warming!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>You mean 97% of 77 scientists in an unscientific online poll?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Myth #4. Sea levels are rising!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Yes&#8230;at a rate of <a href=\"http:\/\/wattsupwiththat.com\/2013\/07\/03\/new-study-using-grace-data-shows-global-sea-levels-rising-less-than-7-inches-per-century\/\" >7 inches per century<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Myth #5. Hurricanes are increasing!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>US landfalling hurricanes are at their lowest intensity in a century. (Bonus fact: Accumulated Cyclone Energy is at a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/blogs\/capital-weather-gang\/wp\/2013\/11\/25\/2013-atlantic-hurricane-season-wrap-up-least-active-in-30-years\/\" >30 year low!<\/a>)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Myth #6. But&#8230;polar bears!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The polar bear population has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ibtimes.com\/polar-bear-population-higher-20th-century-something-fishy-about-extinction-fears-821075\" >quintupled in six decades<\/a> and the USGS admits their numbers are near &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/alaska.usgs.gov\/BSR-2002\/section8.html\" >historic highs<\/a>.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Myth #7. Climategate was hype and it&#8217;s been debunked.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The UK Information Commissioner found the climategate scientists guilty of <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.nature.com\/news\/2010\/01\/climate_row_university_broke_l_1.html\" >breaking the law<\/a> by hiding data from the public.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Myth #8. Models project a temperature increase of over 2 degrees in this century.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>And these same models overestimated warming over the past 15 years <a href=\"http:\/\/www.see.ed.ac.uk\/~shs\/Climate%20change\/Climate%20model%20results\/over%20estimate.pdf\" >by 400%<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Myth #9. Weather is not climate.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Actually, yes. And this is true when it&#8217;s hot outside, too.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Myth #10. Climate denial is a well-funded conspiracy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Actually, the reverse.
