Every weapon, of course, is an \u201cassault weapon,\u201d but what the libs never tell you is that firearms are primarily defense weapons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGuns used 2.5 million times a year in self-defense,\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/redirect.viglink.com\/?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gunowners.org%2Fsk0802htm.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Gun Owners of America<\/a> noted in 2008. \u201cLaw-abiding citizens use guns to defend themselves against criminals as many as 2.5 million times every year \u2013 or about 6,850 times a day.
