One person has been shot dead by Turkish police after an attack on a police headquarters in the capital, Ankara, Turkish officials say.\n<\/p>\n
Police said in a statement on Saturday that police teams launched an operation after a rocket attack on a police building in Dikmen suburb late Friday, killing one of the two attackers and injuring another after they ignored warnings to surrender.\n<\/p>\n
According to Interior Minister Muammer Guler, two rockets hit the police headquarters, and an unexploded device was later found in a neighboring garden.\n<\/p>\n
Authorities said the attackers were members of the Revolutionary People™s Liberation Party-Front (DHKP-C).\n<\/p>\n
The far-left armed group had already claimed responsibility for a similar attack on the Justice Ministry and a building belonging to the ruling Justice and Development Part (AKP) in the capital, Ankara, on March 19.\n<\/p>\n
The group also claimed responsibility for an attack on the US Embassy in Ankara on February 1 that killed one Turkish soldier.\n<\/p>\n
