The UK government has decided to host all of its public services online, to fulfill the \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/mikebracken.com\/in-the-press\/mike-bracken-and-the-uk-governments-digital-strategy\/\" target=\"_blank\">Digital by Default<\/a>\u2019 strategy. The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/publications.cabinetoffice.gov.uk\/digital\/strategy\/\" target=\"_blank\">Government Digital Strategy<\/a>\u00a0is now expected to be up and running by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/service-manual\/digital-by-default\" target=\"_blank\">April 2014<\/a>. Five companies have been chosen to provide identity management for UK citizens, one of which,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/government.postoffice.co.uk\/sites\/default\/files\/case_studies\/Delivering%20Public%20Services%20in%20the%20Digital%20Age%20April%202012.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">the Post Office<\/a>, will serve as\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/uk.atos.net\/NR\/rdonlyres\/D8047137-49EF-4052-843D-77B5D9EB7B16\/0\/IdentityinpublicservicesassuredandprotectedbyeTHOSFactsheet43080811.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">registration centers<\/a>\u00a0for biometric smart ID enrollment.<\/p>\n<p>When I try to tell people about this, and how it\u2019s a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.worlde-idcongress.com\/program?postTabs=2#p2a22\" target=\"_blank\">global scheme<\/a>, they just don\u2019t seem to hear me.
