The BBC has an annual budget for marketing and value for money is at the heart of how decisions are made about spending it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So how can smaller webmasters and bloggers compete for a high rank in Google without paying for costly adverts?<\/p>\n<p>As regular readers will be aware, I&#8217;m an\u00a0SEO geek so here&#8217;s a few ideas, although non webmasters might lose interest around&#8230; now:<\/p>\n<p>We all know the importance of using the correct keywords &#8211;\u00a0but many who aim for broader \/ more\u00a0general\u00a0keywords often wonder why their site isn&#8217;t doing too well in Google. The trick here is to increase the number of\u00a0target keywords, maybe move away from\u00a0the near-impossible\u00a0two word keyphrase and consider a <a href=\"http:\/\/getmoresales.info\/blog\/get-top-ranking-with-longtail-keywords.html\">&#8216;longtail&#8217; keyword<\/a>, containing a\u00a0three or four word\u00a0keyphrase.<\/p>\n<p>Once your site or blog starts to become more established you can then begin to lose a keyword or two and move towards your original target.
