The Israeli regime has received the first of three C-130J Super Hercules airlifters from the US aerospace company, Lockheed Martin.\n<\/p>\n
The aircraft was delivered to the Israeli Air Force (IAF) during a ceremony at the company\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s Aeronautics production facility on Wednesday.\n<\/p>\n
The IAF named the aircraft \u00c5\u201cShimshon,\u201d a Hebrew word for Samson.\n<\/p>\n
The Lockheed Martin\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s vice president and general manager, George Shultz, said the new C-130J \u00c5\u201cbuilds on the tradition of its predecessors\u201d with \u00c5\u201cunique capabilities that are not only proven, but without equal.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\u00c5\u201cWith its glass cockpit and modern digital avionics, the C-130J has proven it performs in all environments: hot, cold, dirt and sand,\u201d he also said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The aircraft will move into a modification program and will arrive in Israel next year.<\/p>\n
The Tel Aviv regime ordered three C-130Js through a Foreign Military Sale (FMS) contract with the American government.\n<\/p>\n
