But you can see the potential for bad behavior.<br \/>\nIn one shot, the drone races toward an apartment window, getting within feet of the glass.<\/p>\n<p>In another shot, the drone hovers over a female sunbather at a pool. She\u2019s completely unaware that it\u2019s there, and she never looks up.<\/p>\n<p>But the scariest shot of all shows the drone wobbling high over I-4 as cars zoom by down below. The drivers have no idea that the drone was out of control at that point, and only seconds away from crashing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The station was able to find the owner of the drone who pleaded innocence, stating \u201cThe only thing I want to do is essentially record a flight, put some music on it, and put it on YouTube.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The man said that an electrical fault caused him to lose control of the drone. He also admitted that the case provides a clear example of how the technology can be misused and could lead to harm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf someone does do something stupid, they\u2019re the bad apple, the bad egg. They\u2019re the exception, they\u2019re not the vast majority of us. The vast majority of us just do this for fun.\u201d he told reporters.<\/p>\n<p>WKMG showed the footage from the drone to State Representative Dana Young (R-Tampa) who told the reporters that it makes her \u201cwant to go back and look at the law we passed last year, and see if there are ways to tweak it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The current law governing drones in Florida does not apply to hobbyists flying small UAVs.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the clear dangers and privacy issues concerning drones, a recent\u00a0survey shows that two thirds of Americans support the use of unmanned spy drones for \u201chomeland security missions,\u201d despite the fact that such missions will include identifying gun owners and tracking the location of individuals via their cellphones, according to government documents.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">The poll, conducted by the Institute for Homeland Security Solutions (IHSS), a research consortium led by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rti.org\/newsroom\/news.cfm?obj=62BDC848-5056-B100-0C6256D7F3203F25\" target=\"_blank\">RTI International<\/a>, shows that 67% of Americans support the use of unmanned spy drones for \u201chomeland security missions,\u201d and that 63% support their use in \u201cfighting crime\u201d.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.infowars.com\/big-sis-testing-drones-that-can-detect-guns\/\" target=\"_blank\">As we reported in April<\/a>, the DHS is testing a number of different drones at a scientific research facility in Oklahoma that have sensors capable of detecting whether a person is armed. A\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?feature=player_embedded&amp;v=OHEL2C6oCg8\" target=\"_blank\">promotional video<\/a>\u00a0for the Shadowhawk drone depicts the UAV being used to spy on a private gun sale.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a href=\"http:\/\/news.cnet.com\/8301-13578_3-57572207-38\/dhs-built-domestic-surveillance-tech-into-predator-drones\/\" target=\"_blank\">CNet\u2019s Declan McCullagh also obtained government documents<\/a>\u00a0which show how the DHS is customizing Predator drones originally designated for overseas military operations \u201cto carry out at-home surveillance tasks that have civil libertarians worried: identifying civilians carrying guns and tracking their cell phones.\u201d<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Experts predict that there will be 30,000 surveillance drones in American skies by 2020 following a bill passed last year by Congress that permits the use of unmanned aerial spy vehicles on domestic soil.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Last week, FBI director\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rt.com\/usa\/fbi-director-mueller-drones-947\/\" target=\"_blank\">Robert Mueller told Congress<\/a>\u00a0that the agency was already using drones for surveillance on U.S. soil on a limited scale.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/national-security\/fbi-has-received-aviation-clearance-for-at-least-four-domestic-drone-operations\/2013\/06\/20\/a040edb6-d9df-11e2-8ed8-7adf8eba6e9a_story.html\" target=\"_blank\">Recently released FAA documents<\/a>\u00a0show that the FBI has received clearance to conduct surveillance drone operations inside the U.S. on at least four occasions since 2010.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013\u2013-<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Steve Watson <\/strong>is the London based writer and editor for Alex Jones\u2019 <a href=\"http:\/\/infowars.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Infowars.com<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/prisonplanet.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Prisonplanet.com<\/a>.
