There\u2019s a video making the rounds in the \u2018Liberty,\u2019 \u2018Libertarian,\u2019 and \u2018Freedom\u2019 circles that asks \u2018what if\u2019 Superman was a member of a union? Would the \u2018Man of Steel\u2019 ever be able to save people if he were tied down by the socialist conspiracy of unions?<\/div>\n

The message of the video<\/a> is, \u2018No.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Man of Steel\u2019 is a good place to start unpacking some of the
\nfaulty assumptions of this video.<\/p>\n

The steel industry in America and virtually the entire American
\nindustrial heartland has been ripped out by racketeers and
\n‘banksters’ who got powerful, in part, by vilifying unions,
\norganized labor, and the idea of decent wages (and with it, the
\nidea of decent families; increasingly torn apart by debts imposed
\nby these ‘banksters’ resulting in children having to resort to
\ndrug dealing and prostitution to avoid starvation).<\/p>\n

The movie industry itself; the actors, the directors, and writers
\nare all protected by powerful unions. This absurdity is writ
\nlarge with gasbags like FoxNews\u2019 Bill O\u2019Reilly or Rush Limbaugh
\nrailing against unions even though they are in unions themselves.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the movie industry – the propaganda arm of
\nAmerica\u2019s Pentagon – is protected by powerful lobbyists like the
\nMPAA. Chris Dodd, the current MPAA chair is part of the
\ngovernment that was characterized<\/a> recently by Aaron Swartz’ father:
\n\u201cAaron did not commit suicide but was killed by the
\ngovernment. Someone who made the world a better place was pushed
\nto his death by the government<\/i>.\u201d Reading between the
\nlines and it’s clear: Mr. Swartz is calling Chris Dodd a murderer
\nand who can blame him; threatening his son with 35 years in a
\nFederal penitentiary for exercising his Constitutionally
\nprotected \u2018fair use\u2019 rights.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hollywood is the only industry to get a law passed protecting it
\nfrom ‘banksters’. The 2010 Dodd-Frank Act outlaws \u2018box office
\nfutures contracts\u2019 meaning that Hollywood, unlike the food,
\nmanufacturing, banking, and virtually every other industry in
\nAmerica is immune from the monetization, securitization and
\nhyper-leveraged speculative chicanery that has gutted these
\nindustries and hollowed them out unmercifully – with only a
\nforeign buyer left to save the little equity (and jobs) squirming
\nabout at the bottom of America’s economic barrel.<\/p>\n

As I\u2019ve argued before, I\u2019m all for free speech and anyone (no
\nmatter how conflicted) can argue against wages and unions in the
\nname of what they call free markets (read: protected rackets) but
\nwhat about the other side? What is their recourse?<\/p>\n

Workers (and unions) can get back in the game by demanding wages
\ntied – not to cooked CPI (inflation) numbers but to money supply.
\nIf workers had their wages tied to money supply they would
\nalready be enjoying triple their current wages – and the US
\neconomy would be in ascent instead of falling out of bed trying
\nto service the trillions of debt racked up by the protected
\nrackets of Hollywood, Bloviating news anchors, copyright
\nextremists and foes of actual free markets and honest workers in
\nthe US.<\/p>\n

\"Security<\/p>\n

After decades of living off the fat of their rackets –
\nAmerican\/Pentagon shysters have completely lost touch with work
\nand how a true capitalist economy works, with workers making
\nmoney that in turn is \u2018saved\u2019 which in turn is invested. What we
\nhave now are propagandists from Hollywood\/Pentagon advocating
\nborrowing, spending and when the money runs out invading and
\nterrorizing. The latest case being Syria. All so that Americans
\ncan avoid ever working for a living again.<\/p>\n
