President Donald Trump\u2019s post-Mueller victory lap continued, with Trump posting a video featuring mainstream news anchors getting to grips with the conclusion of Mueller\u2019s report: There was no \u2018Russian collusion\u2019 in 2016.<\/p>\n
The video was accompanied with the text \u201cNO COLLUSION \u2013 NO OBSTRUCTION,\u201d<\/em> a phrase tweeted no fewer than three times by Trump on Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n Mueller\u2019s final report<\/a> was released to the public on Thursday, albeit with some classified and legally sensitive information redacted. It accused Russia of attempting to run an interference campaign in the 2016 presidential election, but concluded that neither Trump nor any other American \u201cconspired or coordinated\u201d<\/em> in this effort.<\/p>\n Mueller was unable to conclude whether Trump sought to obstruct the investigation, but stopped short of \u201cexonerating\u201d<\/em> the president.<\/p>\n Trump\u2019s tweet\u00a0featured a montage of cable news anchors \u2013 many of them true believers in the \u2018Russiagate\u2019 conspiracy \u2013 dealing with the news. \u201cThe president has just been exonerated,\u201d<\/em> CNN\u2019s Pamela Brown said in one clip, originally aired last month when the report\u2019s summary broke. \u201cCan we just take a step back and focus on the fact that this is a nearly two-year investigation that has swirled around the president since day one of his presidency.
