With the Mueller report exonerating US President Donald Trump of colluding with Russia, ‘Resistance’ media lost no time in shifting their angle of attack \u2013 it’s now all about \u2018obstruction\u2019 and AG William Barr.<\/p>\n
After AG Barr went before the press and quoted bits of Mueller’s now-released report, as well as his personal conclusions, panelists on CNN went all-out blaming him for trying to portray Trump as innocent of obstruction of justice. In a packed studio, eight people spent hours bouncing back and forth on a few of the same talking points \u2013 mostly attacking Barr’s presentation<\/a> of Mueller’s release.<\/p>\n Echoing Democratic leaders\u2019 accusations of partisanship, CNN legal analyst Carrie Cordero said<\/a> Barr \u201chad an opportunity to rise above the politics\u201d<\/em> and only talk about the dry process of reaching conclusions, \u201cand he blew it.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n CNN has 8 people talking about this & they all vehemently agree with one another on every last thing. This has been a major part of the problem from the start. All humans are more likely to err or worse if they are insulated from challenge or dissent. Laura Coates, another legal analyst, went as far as calling it an \u201cOprah moment\u201d,<\/em><\/strong> following it up with an emphatic \u201cyou\u2019ve got to be kidding me!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Mueller\u2019s conclusion that there was no conspiracy between Trump and Russia is no longer a problem, it seems. But Barr repeated that conclusion \u201cover and over and over again, six or seven times, that\u2019s excessive,\u201d<\/em> says Jake Tapper, whose network has spent the past two years repeating the opposite \u2013 over and over and over again.<\/p>\n Fellow \u2018Resistance\u2019 pundits and journalists rained down similarly damning takes on Barr\u2019s behavior\u2026<\/p>\n For my money, this is the most damning example of Barr\u2019s malicious intent.
