Rashida Tlaib says Omar \u2018speaks the truth\u2019<\/p>\n

Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib claimed that critcism of Ilham Omar\u2019s characterization of 9\/11 as \u201csome people did something\u201d was racist and that Omar was speaking the truth.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During an interview on MSNBC, Tlaib immediately began ranting about identity politics, claiming Omar was \u201ctaken out of context\u201d because she was a \u2018woman of color\u2019.<\/p>\n

However, the context was clear; Omar clearly minimized 9\/11 by referring to the 9\/11 hijackers as \u201csome people (who) did something\u201d.<\/p>\n

Of course the only outrage here is that a lawmaker would defend someone who attempted to downplay the biggest terror attack on U.S. soil in history.<\/p>\n

As we reported earlier<\/a>, Omar attempted to play the victim after the controversy by claiming that criticism of her was incitement to violence.<\/p>\n
