Tony Blair, British prime minister from 1997 to 2007, is a prime example. Blair may be gone, but his Labour Party followers are leading the charge against such targets as the party\u2019s current leader, Jeremy Corbyn, and Afro-Jewish socialist Jackie Walker<\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0 Margaret Hodge, a Labour member of parliament who reportedly called<\/a><\/span> Corbyn \u201ca fucking anti-Semite and a racist\u201d in a closed-door meeting, was an early Blair backer who<\/span><\/u> supported<\/a><\/span> his decision to invade Iraq in 2003.\u00a0 Luciana Berger, who said last year that \u201canti-Semitism is very real and alive in the Labour Party,\u201d is another Blairite with a hawkish foreign-policy record<\/a>.<\/span> Labour\u2019s Deputy Leader Tom Watson, who has defended Berger, also backed the Iraq invasion.\u00a0 Ditto Ann Coffey, who has assailed the \u201cCorbyn\u00a0culture of antisemitism<\/a>\u201d<\/span> and began her political ascent as Blair\u2019s parliamentary private secretary, a kind of junior whip, in the late 1990s.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
