France is cracking down on \u201cyellow vest\u201d protesters following a weekend of renewed violence \u2013 as the Macron administration announced on Monday that it would ban demonstration in several areas of france \u2013 including the Champs Elysees in Paris, if \u201cultra elements\u201d are present, according to Interior Minister Edouard Philippe.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018We will ban demonstrations if ultra elements\u2019\u00a0are present, said Philippe, according to\u00a0CNEWS<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The ban will apply to \u201cneighborhoods that have been most affected as soon as we have knowledge of\u201d the \u201cultras.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am thinking of course the Champs-Elysees in Paris<\/strong>, the place Pey-Berland in Bordeaux, the Capitol Square in Toulouse\u201d, Philippe added, where \u201cwe will proceed to the immediate dispersal of all groups.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n

Philippe added that he has asked the State Judicial Agent to \u201csystematically seek the financial responsibility of troublemakers.\u201d<\/p>\n
