US President Donald Trump\u2019s former lawyer Michael Cohen, giving testimony on Capitol Hill, has not been able to provide any evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian officials during the 2016 election.<\/p>\n
Cohen has been giving testimony described as \u201cexplosive\u201d<\/em> by mainstream media to the House Oversight Committee about his \u201csuspicions\u201d<\/em> that Trump could have worked with Russia during the campaign \u2014 but when probed, was not able to provide any evidence to back up those suggestions.<\/p>\n CBS reporter Bo Erickson tweeted during the hearing that Cohen \u201ccannot cite any real examples of Russian collusion\u201d<\/em> with the Trump campaign \u201ceven though he was one of [Trump\u2019s] closest allies.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cIf [Cohen] doesn\u2019t know about any collusion, who does?\u201d<\/em> Erickson tweeted.<\/p>\n Cohen cannot cite any real examples of Russian collusion with Trump campaign, even though he was one of President\u2019s closest allies. Cohen pleaded guilty<\/a> last November to making false statements to Congress about a potential deal to build a Trump Tower hotel in Moscow, later admitting that he lied to \u201cprotect\u201d<\/em> Trump.<\/p>\n During the hearing, Rep. Jim Jordan accused Cohen of being aggrieved with Trump because he didn\u2019t get a job at the White House \u2014 a claim which Cohen denied.<\/p>\n For all the kids in the audience. He had other clients also. He was just disbarred by the State Supreme Court for lying & fraud. He did bad things unrelated to Trump. He is lying in order to reduce his prison time.
