A Democrat from Texas, has vowed to impeach the President, attempting to blame Trump over Democrats blacking up in the past.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rep.\u00a0Al Green<\/span>\u00a0attempted to argue that the refusal of both Virginia\u2019s governor, Ralph Northam (D), and the state\u2019s attorney general, Mark Herring (D), to resign after admissions of wearing blackface in the past is Trump\u2019s fault.<\/p>\n

Green stated that it \u201cis but a symptom of a greater syndrome that currently plagues our country as a result of not acting on President Trump\u2019s bigotry.\u201d<\/p>\n

So to reiterate Green\u2019s logic, some Democrats blacked up in the 1980s, and it\u2019s Trump\u2019s fault they won\u2019t resign now.<\/p>\n

Green added that the Democrats are being protected \u201cto a great extent because the Trump presidency has sent a message that you can be immune to the consequences of bigotry, by daring those with the authority and power to constitutionally remove you from office.\u201d<\/p>\n

Green kept digging, adding \u201cWe no longer stare bigotry down; bigotry now stares us down.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFurther, an argument that Governor Ralph Northam and Attorney General Mark Herring should resign will subject us to accusations of political hypocrisy if we refuse to take on a bigoted president.\u201d Green continued.<\/p>\n

Green has previously introduced articles of impeachment<\/a> against Trump based on the President \u201cinciting racial divisions\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe remedy must be more than talking points about a much-needed conversation concerning bigotry,\u201d Green said in arguing to impeach Trump, adding \u201cWe cannot allow bigotry to go unchecked.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a weird universe feedback loop, Green\u2019s argument that Trump is to blame for white supremacists going unchecked is exactly what Ralph Northam said before the picture of him in blackface emerged.<\/p>\n
