The<span> <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/my-washingtonpost.com\/unpresidented-trump-hastily-departs-white-house-ending-crisis\/\">headline<\/a><span> <\/span>read: \u201cUNPRESIDENTED: Trump hastily departs White House, ending crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Upon closer inspection, a few things about this free \u201cspecial edition\u201d didn\u2019t seem quite right. For starters, the paper was dated May 1, 2019, and the tagline read \u201cDemocracy awakens in action\u201d instead of the<span> <\/span><i>Post<\/i>\u2019s usual \u201cDemocracy dies in darkness.\u201d Meanwhile, the paper itself was filled with stories about a tidal wave of creative resistance \u2014 led mainly by women \u2014 that had ousted Donald Trump from office.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCan I get some more copies?\u201d asked one man passing by distributors near the White House. \u201cI\u2019m a federal employee, and my colleagues will love this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>From a colorful quincea\u00f1era dress blockade opposing the border wall to parents and young children engaging in \u201csippy cup sit-ins\u201d at Sen. But this time they weren\u2019t alone. Their action grew out of a nine-month-long collaboration with two female authors and activists: L.A.
