Kanye West\u2019s on-again, off-again love affair with US President Donald Trump seems to be on again for 2019, as the controversial rapper redeclared his support for the president in a New Year\u2019s Day tweetstorm.<\/p>\n
\u201cTrump all day,\u201d<\/em> West wrote in the first post, adding a series of green dragon emojis and following it up with a tweet that read: \u201cJust so in 2019 you know where I stand.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The rapper went on to explain that his favorite \u2018Make America Great Again\u2019 hat (which he has referred to as his \u201csuperman cape\u201d<\/em>) represents the fact that \u201cpeople can\u2019t tell me who I should do (sic) because I\u2019m black.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n That tweet seems to have disappeared, however, being replaced by one in which West vowed that he would perform wearing the \u2018MAGA\u2019 hat in future. He then laid out his \u201cACTUAL beliefs\u201d<\/em> which included \u201ccommon-sense gun laws\u201d<\/em> and support for refugees \u201cseeking asylum and parents who are fighting to protect their children from violence and war.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n West then said he would be \u201cdistancing\u201d<\/em> himself from politics and \u201cfocusing on being creative\u201d<\/em> instead. But his political hiatus didn\u2019t last long and it seems that the self-declared \u201cgenius\u201d<\/em> is ready to climb back on the Trump train.<\/p>\n West has received massive backlash since he first admitted his support for Trump during the 2016 election campaign.
