What it will do is place\u00a0another<\/em>\u00a0and probably insuperable obstacle in front of the Trump administration\u2019s efforts to dial back federal\u00a0fuel economy<\/em>\u00a0regs \u2013 which Colorado and those 12 other states plus the District of Columbia (and the EPA) now also characterize with a combination of illiteracy, dishonesty and halting effrontery as\u00a0emissions<\/em>\u00a0regs.<\/p>\n

Colorado\u2019s Air Quality Control Commission \u2013 the Golem-like facsimile of California\u2019s Air Resources Board (CARB) \u2013 decreed these new \u201cemissions\u201d standards for light- and medium-duty motor vehicles sold in Colorado beginning with the 2022 model year.
