Donald Trump has been described as a narcissist by some, and he isn\u2019t doing himself any favors by making everything about him and the US. He\u2019s even found a way to make French demonstrations over rising fuel prices about America.<\/p>\n
The US president took to Twitter on Sunday to address protests in France over rising fuel costs, which turned violent in Paris and led to tear gas and water cannon being deployed by police.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe large and violent French protests don\u2019t take into account how badly the United States has been treated on Trade by the European Union or on fair and reasonable payments for our GREAT military protection. Both of these topics must be remedied soon,\u201d<\/em> he tweeted<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n He then went on to toot his own horn for falling oil prices. \u201cThank you, President T,\u201d<\/em> he wrote.<\/p>\n So great that oil prices are falling (thank you President T). The French people are mad at Macron and that is our right. But EVERYONE agrees to say “at least, we don’t have Trump !”. pic.twitter.com\/kqs7H7yPtg<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Len’ 🇫🇷 (@Lenou44000) November 25, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/center><\/div>\n Trump\u2019s tweets come as his relationship with Macron remains at a low point, after Macron announced his support for a European army to protect the continent against the likes of China, Russia, and \u201ceven the United States of America.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The US president responded by slamming Macron and his \u201clow approval rating\u201d<\/em> on Twitter, and went on to say that Germany (whose chancellor, Angela Merkel, also supports the idea of a European army) was France\u2019s problem during both World Wars \u2013 not China, Russia, or America.<\/p>\n The Sunday tweets come just days after Trump was asked a common Thanksgiving question by a reporter: \u201cWhat are you thankful for?\u201d<\/em> His answer was, well, himself.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve made a tremendous difference in the country,\u201d<\/em> he confidently told<\/a> reporters.\u00a0<\/p>\n Like this story?
