Another student told\u00a0<em>Campus Reform<\/em>, \u201cthe whole concept with, like, taking land and assigning a value to it through cost is, like, it was different through European cultures.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"newLineContentFilterParagraph\">What should be \u201caddressed more in education\u201d are lessons in basic economics, and perhaps the study of many native American cultures that placed their own value on land. Just because they wouldn\u2019t take European currency for land and had no conception of European economies doesn\u2019t mean they all believed that the land \u201cbelonged to everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Yet another student characterized Turkey Day as \u201cracist,\u201d because \u201cwe\u2019re celebrating taking away land from Natives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"newLineContentFilterParagraph\">\u201cIt doesn\u2019t have to be not celebrated, but if we can change it to instead of feeding ourselves maybe feeding the natives or donating to natives.
