Of those 48 people, 13 were \u201csenior managers and above\u201d and none of them got an exit package when they were let go.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The email, which was obtained by CNBC, was in response to a bombshell <a class=\"inline_asset\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/10\/25\/technology\/google-sexual-harassment-andy-rubin.html\">New York Times story<\/a> that said Google had shielded a handful of company executives, including Android creator Andy Rubin, from sexual misconduct allegations and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2018\/10\/25\/google-paid-andy-rubin-90-million-exit-package-despite-misconduct-nyt.html\">offered massive payouts to leave<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.cnbc.com\/p\/gZWlPC\/cnbc_global?playertype=synd&amp;byGuid=7000047674&amp;size=640_360\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" bgcolor=\"#131313\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Pichai also said there were newer tools at Google that employees can use to report sexual harassment or misconduct.
