Protesters in Tel Aviv call for the Israeli regime\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s withdrawal from the Palestinian territories it has occupied since 1967.\n<\/p>\n
The protesters marched from the ministry of military affairs to the headquarters of the ruling Likud Party on Saturday night.\n<\/p>\n
Dov Khanin, one of the organizers of the protest, said the regime\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s occupation of the Palestinian land is \u00c5\u201cdangerous, malign and expensive.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
\u00c5\u201cThe immense sum of money invested in building and securing the settlements and constructing apartheid walls, means less to welfare and education,\u201d Khanin said.<\/p>\n
Israel continues with its expansion of illegal settlements in Palestine.\n<\/p>\n
On Thursday, the Tel Aviv regime announced the approval of 300 new illegal settler units in East al-Quds (Jerusalem).\n<\/p>\n
More than half a million Israelis live in over 120 illegal settlements built since Israel\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and East al-Quds in 1967.\n<\/p>\n
The United Nations says the settlements are illegal because the Palestinian territories were captured by Israel in the war of 1967 and are hence subject to the Geneva Conventions, which forbid construction on occupied land.\n<\/p>\n
