He said: <em>\u201cTo be honest with you, I don\u2019t care if it incites fear [against Muslims] as long as it educates the children and prevents them from being raped.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/O6WBcBzy8GU\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Sky News\u2019 Jason Farrell, Robinson stated: <em>\u201cIf I believe I\u2019m morally right then I\u2019m not bothered about what your law says.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>English Defence League (EDL) founder Robinson has largely turned away from street protests. Now a self-styled activist-journalist, he has been covering cases of so-called \u2018grooming gangs\u2019 \u2013 groups of Muslim males targeting and sexually abusing underage girls.<\/p>\n<div class=\"arcticle__read-more read-more\">\n<p>Read more<\/p>\n<p>    <a class=\"read-more__link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rt.com\/uk\/439582-tommy-robinson-trial-protest\/\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n                    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"read-more__cover\" src=\"https:\/\/cdni.rt.com\/files\/2018.09\/thumbnail\/5bac9b55fc7e9372648b4606.jpg\" alt=\"REUTERS\/Peter Nicholls\"\/><br \/>\n    <\/a>\n<\/div>\n<p>The far-right activist was convicted of contempt of court last year after he recorded suspects in a sexual grooming case in Canterbury.<\/p>\n<p>The four defendants were convicted, but the judge slammed Robinson\u2019s actions: <em>\u201cIt is about justice and ensuring that a trial can be carried out justly and fairly. It\u2019s about being innocent until proven guilty.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On his filming of defendants\u2019 faces, Robinson said that to be <em>\u201cforewarned is to be forearmed,\u201d<\/em> adding:<em> \u201cAll I wanted to do was get a video of their faces and I want every single child and parent who lives in that vicinity to know what those men were alleged to have done.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe judge let down the British public. Those men should have been in a prison cell.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Robinson was later arrested after filming defendants outside a Leeds court, bringing separate contempt of court charges against him. The activist admitted in the interview to being ignorant of the law and subsequently receiving legal training.<\/p>\n<p>He was released from prison in August after judges quashed a finding made at Leeds Crown Court earlier in the summer, granting him a conditional bail from a 13-month jail sentence. Following the interview Robinson railed against Sky News and Farrell.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Signing off, Farrell defended the decision to interview Robinson, stating he already has a platform and<em> \u201conly in interviews like this is he challenged.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"rtcode\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Wow.
