Alcee Hastings joked about President Trump dying during a rally in the sunshine state yesterday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking at an event in Sunshine, Fla., Hastings repeated a joke he said he heard from Ari Silver, the son of former Florida state legislator Barry Silver.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will tell you one joke,\u201d Hastings said. \u201cDo you know the difference between a crisis and a catastrophe?\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rps7CcxrCGo\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018A crisis is if Donald Trump falls into the Potomac River and can\u2019t swim,\u2019\u201d Hastings said, before adding, \u201c\u2018And a catastrophe is anybody saves his ass.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The audience reacted by exploding into laughter and applause.<\/p>\n<p>The joke is yet another illustration of how Democrats, while simultaneously accusing Trump of lowering the political tone, often engage in incendiary rhetoric.<\/p>\n<p>Some respondents on Twitter were not impressed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow is this OK?..why are DEMS so filled with hate..had someone said this about Obama, the left would be up in as a calling this someone a racist,\u201d said one user.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSays the impeached former judge.
