The 51-year-old spoke to The Daily Beast<\/a> about her association with Assange and Russian President Vladimir Putin – banishing the \u201csexist<\/em>\u201d claims that either relationship is romantic – and said Americans are \u201cprogrammed<\/em>\u201d to blame Russia.<\/p>\n Read more<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re programmed in America to think that if anything\u2019s gone wrong it\u2019s Russia\u2019s fault,<\/em>\u201d she said. Anderson claims her experience of lobbying for animal rights with the Kremlin has shown her Russians can be \u201cvery emotional, very engaged and wanting to do the right thing<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cPeople just think Russians are very scary and stoic…It\u2019s annoying,\u201d she added. \u201cAmerica can be very annoying, how everything is so anti-Russia<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n The Canadian-born US citizen has been a vocal advocate for Assange, most recently<\/a> appealing to rapper Kanye West to help see him safely leave the Ecuadorian embassy in London where he\u2019s been exiled for the last six years. Anderson says she\u2019s hoping US President Donald Trump will one day pardon the Australian, but claims \u201cpublic support<\/em>\u201d is important for that to happen.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Assange in grave danger, hated because Clintons control media \u2013 Pamela Anderson<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n When asked if the US public would support someone who \u201cappeared to target the Democratic Party<\/em>\u201d in the lead up to the 2016 US election, Anderson said: \u201cI don\u2019t think it was \u2018targeting,\u2019 it was just releasing true information that I\u2019d want to know before I vote<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n Anderson reiterated<\/a> her fear for Assange\u2019s well-being, who she hasn\u2019t spoken to since his internet connection and visitor access was cut off on March 27. She claimed his skin is transparent because he hasn\u2019t seen sunlight in years.<\/p>\n \u201cHe doesn\u2019t have access to doctors outside the embassy<\/em>,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd now I\u2019m very concerned with how he\u2019s being pushed out of the embassy.
