In an interview on MSNBC with fellow Russiagate hero Joy Reid, Waters told viewers that Trump\u2019s repeated use of the term \u201cwitch hunt\u201d<\/em> was actually a special \u201cRussian tactic\u201d<\/em> and not a genuine belief that the investigation into alleged collusion with Russia is, well, a witch hunt.<\/p>\n \u201cYou notice he says \u2018witch hunt\u2019 over and over again. He has learned some of the Russian tactics about how, you know, you deal with getting people to believe you,\u201d<\/em> Waters told Reid, without offering an explanation as to where she got the idea that using the term \u201cwitch hunt\u201d<\/em> was a Russian tactic.<\/p>\n \u201cThis lesson that he\u2019s learned \u2014 and I think it is from the Russian tactics that he\u2019s learned over the years that if he says it enough, he can get people to believe it,\u201d<\/em> Waters continued.<\/p>\n Read more<\/p>\n But it would seem that Trump is not the only one who has fallen victim to the dangerous Russian tactic. In the 90s, for example, during the Monica Lewinsky scandal, the Clinton White House called the whole thing a \u201cwitch hunt,\u201d<\/em> and Hillary Clinton herself called it a \u201cvast right-wing conspiracy\u201d<\/em> \u2014 so maybe it\u2019s more of an American tactic than a Russian one.<\/p>\n It\u2019s not the first time Waters has made strange statements about Trump and Russia, however.<\/p>\n Last year, she suggested<\/a> that Trump should be impeached because Russian President Vladimir Putin was \u201ccontinuing to advance into Korea\u201d<\/em> \u2014 presumably referring to Crimea, which re-joined Russia in 2014 following a democratic vote.<\/p>\n In March this year, Waters warned<\/a> Trump that if \u201cfor some reason\u201d<\/em> the Russia investigation didn\u2019t bring him down, \u201cStormy will\u201d<\/em> \u2014 referring to the adult film star who has alleged she had an affair with Trump in 2006.<\/p>\n Waters is evidently very paranoid and fearful of Russia in general, warning in February that \u201cgiven the opportunity\u201d<\/em> Russia, China and North Korea would attack the United States. \u201cThey\u2019re coming after us, I believe that,\u201d<\/em> she warned.<\/p>\n Waters also believes that RT has purposely interfered with her ability to perform her duties as a congresswoman.<\/p>\n \u201cRT, which is Russian television, absolutely interfered with a speech of mine on the floor of Congress and blocked me out for 10 minutes,\u201d<\/em> she said, referring to an incident<\/a> when RT replaced C-Span\u2019s live feed of proceedings in Congress for a few minutes in a technical glitch.<\/p>\n Ironically, however, it might be Waters herself who has fallen victim to Russian tactics. Last year, the congresswoman fell victim<\/a> to two Russian pranksters who called her office pretending to be the Ukrainian prime minister and asking for American support after Russia had hacked the elections in the fictitious country of Limpopo (actually a province in South Africa), installed a pro-Russia puppet government and claimed that the ousted president had considered fleeing to Ukraine.<\/p>\n \u201cThe US is going to stand with you guys,\u201d<\/em> Waters told the pranksters.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Via RT<\/a>.
