Labour MP David Lammy and Toby Young, the Spectator writer and free schools advocate, have rekindled their war of words on social media concerning the explanation to Oxford University\u2019s lack of black British students.<\/p>\n
The online spat between the pair ignited in 2017 after Lammy, the MP for Tottenham, accused Oxford University of \u201csocial apartheid\u201d<\/em> over its admissions policies when they disclosed data showing that one in three Oxford colleges failed to admit a single black British A-level student in 2015.<\/p>\n READ MORE:\u00a0\u2018Britain is not racist, Meghan Markle proves it\u2019 – argues white, Etonian, neocon Douglas Murray<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n The Oxford University-educated Young responded to Lammy\u2019s accusation with an article in right-wing publication The Spectator by insisting it was unfair to blame Oxford for the low numbers of black undergraduates.<\/p>\n I blogged about David Lammy\u2019s previous attack on Oxford for admitting too few black British students. @FraserNelson<\/a> is right \u2014 issue isn\u2019t Oxford\u2019s bias, it\u2019s that too few black British students are getting 3 As at A level.
